Hi. I decided to give lake Meridian a try Monday morning and arrived at the lake about 6am. I was the only person there and had the whole lake to myself. I was trolling with a small dick-nite flasher and a small pink hoochie with a smile blade in front. Hook tipped in shoe peg corn. The down rigger set at 25', i fished for 3 hours and did not catch a single kokanee, but did catch 5 nice rainbows. (all at 25'). I did not see many fish on the finder, a lot of singles and doubles but no schools. The surface of the lake was covered with cut weeds making trolling difficult. This is normal for this lake just need a bit of wing to clear it off. Thanks.....Robert ps. where are the kokanee?
