Sorry for the late report...busy on the east side!

Went for a short local fly fishing morning at Robbins lake in mason Co. with a good friend. While checking the WDFW plant stats for updates, there was a post about a end of May plant in Robbins of several hundred coastal cutthroat. Burned out on planted bows in local lakes, we checked it out. Good choice!!

Launched the cartopper (no motors in Robbins) early AM, no other anglers. perfect sunny morning. Lots of surface activity. We trolled/stripped weighted #8 olive/black buggers and black Carey specials. We had bites non stop, the best area was right in front of the launch. Four weight rods, floating line, 12 foot leaders, 5# maxima tippet.

Hard strikers and pretty fish, 80% of them were from the recent plants, all 11 to 13 inches, full of spots head to tail. Robbins is just one of a dozen little quiet lakes in the Tahuya area that really get the itch scratched for fly fishers/small boat owners that have to stay local.

Thanks to the folks at WDFW for the late cutthroat plant....and not a single hatchery rainbow all day!
