Headed out to Lake Stevens for some morning fishing. God blessed with 9 fish and lost additional 2. Water temp was 67 degrees and fish were caught at 30-35ft. Trolled all over the lake. Used Elgin Fishing God's tooth spoons with modified set up. 8 of the fish were caught on "mod #2" and 1 on "mod #1". Photo shows example of "mod #2". The hot colors were clown dodger with 50/50 gold and clown dodger with green top. Wishing all tight lines!

I need to get out there and try again. Getting on the water at sun up this time of year though hurts! Grats on another great day of fishing!

Way to go! Need to get back out there. I have a question. How big leader do you tie your spoon, and how do you put your own double hook? Just tie them at the end?if you don't mind sharing. Have some of these but don't know how to set it up. Thanks

Hi Mike10gs,
The leader length from the trailing hook to the dodger is 16" on both modification #1 and #2 (please see my previous reports on Lake Stevens if you are not familiar with the modifications). Tying double hooks is kind of hard to explain but I do tie them myself. There is a great youtube video on how to tie them which I think would be more helpful to you than me describing. Just type in the search box "how to tie double hook" and you should see a couple of videos. Hope this helps.

Hey thanks so much for sharing. I do know how to tie double hooks, I like making my own wedding rings. Was asking if you tie the hooks where the original hook is. Thanks again for sharing.
