I hiked up to Eight Mile again in search of Lake trout. I didn't see any lakers, but I did catch a cutthroat about 8 inches. Fishing was slow, probably due to the cold weather last week. I also hooked a nice fat trout about 12 inches but he got off the hook near the shore.

I tried the stream in several places on the way down and caught nothing but 4-5 inch brook trout.

Slow fishing at the lake but beautiful scenery and I saw some yellow birds and chipmunks for wildlife.
