My final day of vacation. It's been a great ten days off. One last fishing outing, this time with Randy (rseas), Gringo Pescador (Mark), and my friend Dan (who repaired a ding in my brand new boat).

We arrived at the boat launch at a leisurely 7:30am and had lines running by 7:45, after paying the $20 AIS inspection which as far as I could tell meant two people walked around my boat looked at it and said "sign this release and pay us $20". I'll try not to be too annoyed at yet another taxing entity finding an excuse to separate me from my hard earned money. Hopefully the other counties in our state don't follow suit or we'll all go broke trying to go fishing in our boats. OK, enough soapbox...

We ran two riggers with two rods each, and Randy had his two lead line rods. He easily was getting 3-1 action compared to Mark and I. Same kokanee type gear and corn, so it must have been the set backs, his gear being a good 70-80 feet back while we were 20-40 feet back. At least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Long story short, we fished with Randy in the big part of the lake until 10:30 when he had to go. 7 fish in the boat. Thanks Randy for sharing your fish with us. After Randy left we went to the little lake and took another 4 1/2 hours to fill out our limits of 15 fish. The best depths were around 25-40 feet deep. We used small dodgers and hoochies with blades and a piece of corn. The weather started cloudy and light breeze, by the end of the day it was sunny and a moderate breeze. The fish are running 11-13" for the bigger ones, and 6-9" for the little guys. Beautiful fish one and all.

The perfect way to end a vacation, catching fish with friends!
