Got home from work and took the boy out to Henley's Silver Lake Resort for the first time this year. After reading some reports recently I figured we would give it a shot. We were on the water by 5:15pm and I decided to try the Rebel crawfish lure that has been working so well this year. Sure enough, as we get to the end of the row of houses on the north end of the lake, fish on! I land a nice 12" bow.

We trolled counter clockwise around the entire lake trying various lures. On the south end of the lake a decent size fish shows up on the finder and sure enough a few seconds later I have a fish on. Imagine my surprise when I haul in a 12" catfish. By this point my boy is starting to not have fun, but he ends up catching a crappie on a wedding ring so he was happy.

The fish started jumping just as we needed to get off the water at 8pm. We did see 3 huge fish on the finder on the north end of the lake that were just a foot or two below the surface. Based on the fish displayed I would say these were well over 16 inches. I may have to come out here early one morning before it gets too warm.
