Recently bought and restored a smaller boat so I could start trying some of the smaller lakes where my big boat can't go. Lake Desire turned out to be a nearby fishery that provides a serene fishing experience and with some decent action I must say! I fished for 3 hours, netted 5, released 3, and kept these two beauties, 13" and 12".

I was the only boat on the lake the whole time. Stay in the middle of the lake you'll be at 15 - 20 feet max. I haven't got sonar for this new boat so I feel lucky not to have gotten snagged. Every time the pole bent, it was a fish! Trolling 1.5 mph 35 feet behind the boat with 3/8 oz of line weight, Dick Nite dodgers with spinner hoochies tipped with shoepeg corn scented in Mike's Garlic.

Launch was super shallow making retrieval a challenge. I had to empty the boat of weighty items in order to pull it onto the trailer.

Lk Desire, check it out. Tight lines!

Eddie
