On the water at 7:30am. Overcast skies and some wind. Downriggers set a 30ft and 40ft in 70ft water up by the parked water air taxi. Usual kokanee setup with corn soaked in anise on one pole and corn soaked in garlic on the other. Take down on the anise at 30ft at 8am. No kokanee but nice 14 inch rainbow. Switched other pole to anise corn. Ten mins later 30ft pole has another takedown and this time it is a 12inch koke. Fished another two hours and only had two other rainbows. Wind was gusting by 10:30AM making it difficult to hold course with the electric motor. Had the kokanee for lunch and it was delicious. Not a bad morning to spend with the wife; plus there were no water skiers.
