With the promise of a front coming through and possibly some rain we headed to Beaver to see if some of the big ones were stirring. We fished from 7:00AM until noon in what was at times a near torrential downpour. Well, we got to fish the rain, but the lake never turned on. I scratched out 5 or 6 small bass, but my son (the better fisherman on most days) got skunked.

We tossed a wide variety of hard and soft baits but I caught my fish on a custom "crappie" colored crank.
