Beautiful morning on Baker Lake for my first day of retirement. Didn't see a whole lot of nets flying, but there were definitely a few. Caught my final fish at 10:00 and headed for home.

Well done, congrats on the retirement what a first day!!! Many more to come. Where were you fishing at and how deep? I am heading up Sunday and with the lake levels dropping it should be a great weekend and lets hope the keep it low!

I always fish the northern end of the lake, but prefer steer my way to open areas away from the fleet. When I catch fish, boats seem to converge on me, so I look for the area that they vacated, and steer my way over there. It's easier for me to control my boat, and take care of two rods with down riggers without all of those other boats around me. The fish are all over the place anyways. My depths have varied all season between 35 and 60 feet. It all depends upon where I'm marking fish on the screen.
