After meeting my personal challenge of a new lake or river every week since opening day, I allowed myself the grace of re-visiting one of the new gems discovered on my journey. I wanted to share the serene beauty of lake Bosworth with my lovely Janet, so I raced home after work and swooped her up to share the summer evening on the water. The drive was scenic to this close, but seemingly remote location. The lake was calm as glass, with a light breeze coloring it in places. Just as before, fish-on almost immediately! My fish finder was beeping at me and showed large numbers of fish at various levels below us. 4 bows in about 30 minutes. Not bad. As before, they were a bit on the smaller size. I exercised the C&R option, to maximize our time on the water. Only one other boat on the water, and they were gone when we returned to the launch, just after sunset. The soft light seemed to linger, giving us plenty enough time to unload and ready for departure. It was a short, but sweet evening date on the water. Note: No gas powered boats allowed.

I love that lake. Although it was not easy hitting it rowing. I did manage and have caught there. None of the landlocked coho but maybe one day. Are electric trolling motors allowed? I hear there are some really large trout to be found there. I am excited to go to the lake again especially hoping I can catch a nice calm day then my little raft will handle it well

Hey Heatherlyfish, Thanks for commenting on my post. I was wondering if anyone reads my reports. Electrical trolling motors are fine, just not gas powered motors. I wonder how landlocked coho could be in there...?
I was higher in the column, targeting the rainbows. They put 10K in there, but smaller in size. However, there were fish identified on my finder clear to the bottom at 50-60' deep most of the time where I was fishing. Max depth on the lake is 80'. Maybe that is where the lunkers hang out. Happy fishing!

Nice report and nice to get a report on Bosworth. I really liked that lake when I was doing a lot of Bass fishing. I wrote an overview for this site many years ago. I fished it from a green canoe that is shown among the photos - And there is a picture of the beautiful 19 inch rainbow trout that hit my Rapala as I was casting for bass. As you mentioned in your report - in this picture the lake was as flat as a mirror.

Fishing Tenor . I believe there is a tab that shows how many views. I have read your posts before because they are helpful. I am not as active this year due to a little one. Amazing that lake is so deep. Makes me wish I had a fish finder but I will look up the deep part. Hoping to head there with a fishing buddy. People have said there are Kokanee in this lake. I figure they are mixing them up with the coho.
