In line early as usual and it was obvious rolling up it was going to be windy (again!) Sunday. Quick hello to Randy (rseas) and his wife, wave to Mr. Carey and we were off to motor up lake in the dark. Nice to have headlights on the Wooldridge! Typical gear chrome 0 dodgers, 8-10" leader and bare hooks. The key to this fishery is to keep it simple. This is the gear they want, you just have to find the fish then find the depth they will bite. Pretty much 65-75' for us all morning, ending our two limits of 12 nice sockeye with a double around 10am. I should have been done by 8am but two major tangles while fishing four rods in the wind took all four rods out of the game for a half hour or more each. We had consistent action most all of the morning, keep your setbacks short and target .8 to 1.0mph. Put your kicker in reverse with a drift sock out when going with the wind. To keep under control we fished directly into and directly away from the wind at all times. The catching was a 5 but the tangles and wind took one point off this report. I finally fished just three rods with side booms fully extended and no more tangles after that.

Be sure to have your fenders out with both a bow and stern line if holding your boat at the end of the dock. There are some sharp edges that messed up my wrap pretty good :(
