I have never been to Drano and wanted to go take a look. I packed up my gear in the car but did not take the boat as my intent was to 'watch and learn'. When I got there, I found a well used bank location (West side, 30 yards North of the SR14 bridge. I decided to put my line in. I had roe and sand shrimp and tried every combination of bottom, float, distance from shore, and depth I could think of. 1 bite was it. I saw plenty of boats trolling by that were landing fish on a regular basis. Not a BIG bite but they were hitting. I have not been in that fishery before and tried again Sunday. I am not sure what else I could have done.
The weather was great, so was the scenery and I got to spend both days with my biggest supporter, my wife. So, It was a good day. A fish or two or even a few bites would have made it a great day.
Any advice you folks want to send my way for bank fishing that location would be really appreciated!
