Went Camping with the family over the Labor Day Weekend at Bumping Lake, Weather was good, a bit cool in the Morning, and the Lake level as you would expect in Early Fall is a bit low, but not horrible...Fishing was as good as we have ever had at the Lake, we fished from shore, found some deeper water, and limited both Sat and Sunday in under an hour, and a few of the fish pushed a good 17 inches and were fat, crawdads in their belly, eating well, I have noticed the last couple years in July they have been planting catchables and not the fingerlings of years before that....these trout are getting very fat, and fight very well....a lot of fun, and the kids who are both 12, just had a blast, was catching fish at a very fast rate, it was a lot of fun....we used mellow and worm, and also power bait, they hit both equally well...Camping facilities at the Lake are just awesome, but the Camping season is winding down....
