I went with a couple of friends to Lake Samish at first light and had a great time hammering kokanee off of the kayak. We flatlined an old school lake troll (flasher) with a chrome and orange wedding ring. Use rubber maggots on each of the two hooks and apply some garlic scent to your rig. We focused on the southwest end of the lake and limited out before noon!
