We absolutely love living in norh central Washington. Conconully is a great place. There is so many things going on in this tiny town. Miles and miles of atv trails and even more for snowmobiles in the winter. The hunting is off the charts. If you ever get the opportunity to come enjoy the slower pace of this sleepy little mountain town make the trip, it is worth it.
This trip we launched at about 6 pm. We trolled up lake starting out at about 30 feet on the wire. Fishing was a little slower than last couple times but we did get a real nice hit 10 minutes in that produced a nice fat 13" kokanee.
Then we spot the bear! Oh man this is cool we can get right up close to it and still be fishing thanks to how steep the drop off is on the far side of the lake. There is a giant buck hanging out in town too. Huge rack. Like awkwardly big.
The wind picked up and was pushing us around so we worked to get another nice kokanee in the box and C&R a couple few more rainbow. Great fishing trip for just about an hour of fishing the bear and the huge buck makes it a solid 4 star fishing trip.
Think this may be the last kokanee trip of the year. What a great season. I wan't to thank every one who has followed and commented this summer.
