I started fishing with my 6yo son just a couple weeks ago and we have been trying some lakes out.
First time we went to Angle lake, arrived there around 7:30am and the gate was already open (I realized there was going to be a speed boat race later in the morning...).
We spent about 3 hours just on simple setup with worms fishing from the dock and got 6 perches averaging 8 inches, plus 1 tiny sunfish.
We haven't really tried to catch anything else, but will definitely go back there to experience a bit more.
