Had about an hour or two to burn after work today, so I walked on over to South Lake Union with my light spinning gear in hand.

I twitched a 1/4 oz. bright yellow maribou jig off the docks down there by Daniel's Broiler. Yes there was a ton of people dining al fresco on their deck, but all in all I hardly noticed them and they hardly noticed me.

I guess you could say I mainly fished off a small dock that was between Daniel's and the Center for Wooden Boats. I've had great luck there before and it is situated in a way that it kinda shields itself off from any type of wake coming from the main part of the lake.

C&R'd about 6 nice FAT yellow bellied perch - probably just over a pound each. They were nice and fat and very aggressive.

I've had tons of luck in that area before with maribou jigs. Today though I only caught yellow bellied perch and a few small largemouth bass. In the past I have caught everything (literally) from that spot - including bluegill, white crappie, black crappie, LMB, SMB, carp, and yellow perch.

I wish I could take my catch home to eat, but the last I heard was that Lake Union was severely polluted. Anybody hear anything different?
