If just one of my 2 fishing buddies was submitting this report, he would have to give it 5+++ stars. Fished 4 to 5 hours each day, he must have caught 30 nice cutts. I would just get my line out and bring it back in to get it out of his way and sometimes do the netting. Tried the lures mentioned in prior fishers' posts not much luck. Buddies hot setup was small iridescent slingblade and fluorescent pink/pink double whammy. I finally borrowed something similar and got a few.
Other buddy rowed around the whole north end of lake first day dragging a fly near surface with nothing but bigger biceps to show for it. Oh, we were about 35 feet on downriggers. Let fly buddy have downrigger use with us second day. He got lagest fish , 5.3 lb 24 incher. Most fish were 18-20 inch range. I was mildly diasappointed we did not see any 8+ as in other posts. Thanks to prior posts hotspots. Study them. Great bay near north end and did well off Cowpie. Most of pics on buddies camera.
