My 1st report!
This is my 1st time on this lake. Arrived there at 6:45AM, setup my Colorado XT pontoon, and was on the water around 7:20AM fishing for Kokanee. I left the lake at around 2PM with just one Perch, no Kokanee!
I trolled two poles(I bought the endorsement!), both had flashers, one with a small dodger. I trolled various depths, from 5ft all the way down to 50ft deep and many depths in between. Tried a pink hoochie with corn, Kokanee Killer with corn, Slow Death hook with a worm, and a Kokanee thing I don't know the name of with corn. Colors were pink, red & green. I tried dipping my presentations in either corn or garlic scents. I think I covered most of the lake, but focused on the areas other reports caught Kokanee in.
My Deeper Pro+ fish finder saw maybe 4 or 5 schools of what I think was Perch. It also showed single smaller fish every once in a while at different depths, not sure what they were, next time I'll take screenshots.
Weather was drizzly & cloudy, sometimes it got a little choppy. I thought that was good weather for good bite? I don't think I even got bites to speak of. No Kokanee, just one good sized perch at around 8:00AM, see hot spot.
I really wanted to catch some Kokanee, I have never fished for them before and was hoping this lake would make it happen. I don't know for sure if it was my fishing or the fish.
