Original fishing plans for the day didn't work out but I got to spend a couple hours to fish Bradley before sunset.

I decided to try something new. I never fished for Bass so I thought why not give it a try. I took my ultra-ultra-light setup (tiny spinning reel, 2lb line, long ultra light rod) and a silver spoon and fished near the lilies next to the dock. On my fifth or so cast I got fish on. It pulled hard, it jumped, it ran for the logs, and my line was only 2lbs! I was almost sure I'm gonna lose it. I started reeling in without a clue what I caught. It continued to jump and it looked bigger than Bradley's rainbows, now I was thinking oh boy I think I got really lucky. After a couple minutes that felt like 20, the fish was on shore, and it indeed was a LMB! My first ever! It looked like 17", I was super happy.

Continued fishing for an hour or so more, same area, same technique & spoon, but got nothing.

Beginners's luck in all its glory!
