Since I had a discovery pass.I decided to put in to use with the 7 buck launch fee,and use the state park launch since its much deeper than the rest.Besides Its a straight shot out to the dunes from there.I forgot to upload my hotspots to my new fishfinder so it took me a bit to get my bearings, but I soon figured them out and made my rounds.I pretty much stayed to the first set of dunes that come up from the 40 foot mark and went up and down, and around them. This was the only place I found biters.I tried trolling closer to where the rest of the boats were toward the north end of the dunes, but only ended up catching pesky bullheads.I bounced a 1 1/2 oz walker with a chartreause beaded harness with a #4 polished, hammered brass deep cup colorado blade at about 1.2 mph.The fishing wasnt hot but just enough to keep me interested.I ended up with 4 walleye(16-22 inches) 1 jumbo perch, and released a 3 lb largemouth.I tried other colors on another rod,but the chartreause one caught all the fish.
