Launched the pontoons at Beaver at first light and headed to the docks on the NW side of the lake where we've always had luck in years past, after the stocking. Took maybe a half hour before both my buddy and I were hooking fish. Short leaders (18") and sherbet power bait was the only rig that we used all day and all our fish were caught in shallow water, right alongside the docks along the shore. This year's stocked fish were excellent fighters and a lot of fun on ultralight tackle. Don't waste your time fishing in the center of the lake and keep your leaders short as the water visibility is bad with all of the rain/runoff in the lake and the trout are hugging the bottom.
