Fishing was pretty decent at Ebey. I made it out for an afternoon on the lake catching the tail end of a fair sized chironomid hatch. The fish rose to emergers well. A size 16 tom thumb is really all that's needed to catch fish there. The key was watching the path of the rise forms on the surface, and placing the cast onto the spot where the fish was likely to rise next. As I understand it, there was way into the lake that was very short and on a well grated road. However, the locals have since gated it to prevent a problem they had with litter. The only way in is via an EXTREMELY rough 4x4 road. I had to dig my Tahoe out of the mud for over an hour just to make it back. I very strongly recommend that if you do decide to visit this lake, to walk in the last mile or so to the lake, as the road is very muddy, littered with huge ruts and potholes, and covered with fallen logs. Please pick up any trash you see along the way as well, lets keep the lake from being gated off completely. ~Steve
