After reading all of the outstanding reports on this lake, I was excited to finally have the time to go try it. Got on the water around 9 with my brother in law and a family friend. None of us had been to the lake before. Took about an hour to get the first fish which was just shy of 17". Spent the next 6 hours pounding that spot. Ended the day taking home 5 cutthroat from 17" and a bit shorter, released 1 about 10" and lost 6 others. All fish came on sling blades with a red wedding ring/ brass blade tipped with nightcrawler at 26' on the downrigger and 1.5-2.0 mph. Was a beautiful day to be fishing, got the new boat a little more organized and learned more of what I need and a new lake and fishery. Tight lines!
