Finally made it out for some ice fishing. My 11yo has been at my heels to hit the ice.

We hit Fish Lake @9AM. A number of fisherman were walking off the lake with their limit at that time. Plenty of holes through the ice so we picked our first spot. After a few sculpins, we moved farther out across the ice. Conditions were a bit slushy.

At our second set of holes, we started to have some luck. The fish came if waves with both of us catching a few and then a break. He lasted 2 hours on the ice and we left with 10 nice fish for dinner, poor-boy sandwiches.

This was our first ice outing and won't be our last.

- Parking at The Cove is $5
- Folks are super helpful with the rookies
- Plenty of holes, no auger needed.
