We got on the ice again today around 11:00 am, set up the shelter and it was good fishing for the next 4 hours. Once the shelter was set up, and the heater fired up, the girls staked out their territory, and wouldn't you know it there was no room for me, and I was given a milk crate and a float cushion. It worked out in my favor as I out fished my daughter and her friend 10-1. Markopath and I each caught a mess of perch, a couple of bass, several sunfish, and I caught a couple of crappy that were just short of being keepers.

We had a report from the guy and his sons next to us of a small northern pike being caught, but I'm pretty sure that it was a large grass pickerel.

There were still a lot of people out on the ice today. The ice is still in the 12 - 14" range.
