Hit the public docks just to see if the bass were staying in the shallows yet. Was only there for a little over an hour, and ended up catching 1 largemouth, about 10 to 12 inches in size. I forgot my cellphone at home this trip on accident, so undortunately, no pictures this time. I used a black miniking spinnerbait with a greenish brown mini craw trailer. The vegetation is starting to come in, so in order to fish the docks decently you need to keep your rodtip up pretty high in order to slow your retrieval enough to entice fish without getting stuck in the weeds. I did get a bite from what felt like a decent sized fish, but it felt like he just chomped at the flapping legs of the trailer instead of going for the bait, and he only tried once. Givent he water temps and vegetation levels, we should be seeing the bass up intot he shallows in the next 2-3 weeks would be my guess. Will bring the pontoon out next time, in a couple weeks, and try along the shoreline near the boat ramp and see if I can catch anything.
