I fished Sekiu Thursday morning with my Dad. We had never fished there before, and we were really impressed with that fishery. We (and many other boats) began trolling about a mile straight out from Slip Point, and we hit action right away. In the first 3 hours or so, we had numerous hits, 8 hookups, and we caught 4 (they were all wild coho so we released them). They ran from 7 to about 10 pounds. The wind picked up after that, and we fished for another 2 hours for numerous shakers and one good hookup. The winning rig was a green and silver Coyote Spoon behind a fish flash or white dodger (both worked equally well) from 25 to 45 feet deep. A lot of fun despite some rain showers--we'll be back.
