Went up to Sekiu to fish for blackmouth, the sixteenth was too windy, ergo, no fishing.
Got on the water really early, the 17th, boated one keeper, tossed several shakers. Then we were blown off the water again.
On the 18th we were on the water at 0630, false dawn, boated two keepers, and tossed several more shakers. Did catch one lingcod while trolling for blackmouth,???, anyway had to let him go. At no time did we mark any suspected blackmouth nor bait balls. We used flashers and hoochies with downriggers.
I don't know if the heavy fishing by the Makah Tribe had anything to do with the scarcity of fish... Several other boats were skunked, well maybe not skunked just ran out of time :^)
