Decided to try Elliot Bay on the opener, hoping for some early Kings. Lot of action early, a good morning bit from about 5:30am to 7:30am. My dad was able to land a 4 pounder while I spent a good part of the morning messing around with a faulty downrigger release. Finally got that fixed and after hooking and releasing two pinks (and yes they were actually pinks in Elliot Bay Mr. fish checker) around noon hooked a 10 pound residential white king (blackmouth). A horrible weather day but it turned out to be a decent blackmouth fishery. Unfortunately, no kings were in. According to the doubting fish checker there were 43 fish for 77 boats when we got out around 2:30pm. I guess will have to wait a few weeks before the big ones arrive. Good luck!
