Started the morning at the river mouth (targeting anything but humpies). Nothing. We did not see a signal net. After the tide went to the Clay Banks. Nothing. Not a single net seen. By about 11am we finally went over to the pile. 2 hours later got the first violent hit off the downrigger. After jumping 4 times I reeled in a 10.5 lb silver. Another 1 1/2 hours past before the next violent hit, this one only jumped twice and turned into my second silver, 9.5 lbs. By this time my father was wondering if he would ever get anything. Another hour later, bam! Another silver for me. This one only 5.5 lbs. That was the last one of what turned out to be a great day for me, three bright beautiful silvers. I think it was just my day. We only seen two other fish caught in the 12 hours that we were out there. In case you were wondering, they were all caught on a 3 1/3" Army Truck Coyote spoon, 37" behind a green break away flasher (20lb test) fished in less than 50' of water.
