Hello Again!:)
Well I started the day at Bill's Boat House At Approximately 7:00 A.M.
There was quite an overcast, but the weather man said it would burn up by the afternoon and get to be about 75 degrees. Well that never happened. Anyways as late in the season as it is, top water forget it.
Not going to work here, So I went bottom fishing of the main dock at Bill's its 22ft deep and I was about 6ft off the bottom quite a few bites, Small trout today I let all 10 I caught today, it was quite funny the biggest trout was only 6 inches long. I was using an egg and two maggots.
But here is the real story I went out on a Pontoon boat with 5 other people at 7:00p.m. We went to the infamous CULVERT in American Lake.
There was Todd, Jeremy, Jason who all work at Bills and John and myself.
It was still cloudy but it was a comfortable 70 degrees.
7:15 we anchor in the culvert, We start to chum around the boat as we hook up with an egg and 1/2 a worm.
My personal setup was like this from top to bottom of my rig.
1st:2 1/4inch glow beads,1/4oz worm sinker,2 1/4inch Glow beads, 1/4oz worm sinker,2 1/4inch glow beads.
2nd:barrel swivel
3rd:3ft of leader
4th:1 1/4inch pink bead
5th:#6 snelled double bait hook
But back to the report at hand....
Me and my friends were there from 7:15 till 9:30p.m.
As a whole fishing party we caught our limits.
Trout ranging from 1/2lb up to 1lb...yum good frying:)
we caught our boat limit of 30 within the 1st hour.
So good luck to all the plps that try the culvert at American.
Just remember to Get your EGGS AND WORMS AND MAGGOTS at the best place in town BILL'S BOAT HOUSE.
Good Fishing everyone:)
