Just got back from Neah. Off the hook! Two of us fishing one driving. My arm is sore from reeling. Total count for two days. 6 Kings, 6 Coho, 2 Lings, about 20 black rock fish kept. Quit counting. Yesterday was the day. I couldn't seem to get the driver to run the video. "Oh I forgot"........ No wild Coho for keeping! I caught 27 myself, all released to get the one keeper and one for the driver. Started out by the green buoy and snagged a 18#er with a 6" Tomic. Fishing done, here come the whales. Headed to the outside. Pulled two guy's in a rental boat about to "beach" on Tatoosh, no PFD's worn. They don't know how close they were to meeting our maker. They didn't open the vent in the gas tank, then broke the pull start trying to get it started again. We towed them down to Skagway so we could fish and watch them till their tow boat came. God smiled on us for the rescue. Popped a 15 and a 24#er while we waited. In between those two we went a little close to the rocks and I picked up a little rock fish, about to shake it off the clip when something ripped it off and started to strip line. Three runs later I yelled at my buddy to grab the net and be ready quick! As I pulled the rock fish up he had an 18# ling holding on for all he had. I pulled them right into the net off the stern of the boat. When the ling was in the net you could just see the look. OOOOPs I just blew it, as he let go of rocky. Great days!
