I and two buddies fished Humpy Hollow on Friday August 24th 2007. We had lines in the water at 6am. First fish on and boated at around 6:30 am, 4 pounds. The next two were hooked and boated by around 7:45am, both 22 to 23 inches and around 6 pounds. From there over the next two hours we missed or lost five fish. At 10:30 the final fish was boated, 23 inches and around 6 pounds. We stopped at 11:10 am and headed in. 4 pinks in 5 hours. Very SLOW!!!! We saw other boats catching fish early on but not like when they are in there thick and you catch two or three limits in a couple hours. That time has not yet arrived. They are just not in there thick. The action was early in the morning and spotty. We would go over a school and get the bites which resulted in the fish we caught. There just weren’t that many schools of fish and we didn't get bites every time we encountered a school. I spoke with the fish counter and saw her sheet which revealed most boats with 1 or 2 and some with 3 or 4 but the numbers weren’t great by any means. One guy we spoke with and his two buddies said they had 7. I think the great fishing is yet to come. As I write this (Saturday 08-25-07, 0935hrs, 3 are in the smoker. Good luck.
