A great day on the water. Sunny calm with fish jumping everywhere. My cousin and I were fishing from his small lake boat on Dyes Inlet. I had a pair of fish get off in the same location while fishing from shore two days earlier. They hit a hot pink roster tail. Fished the whole morning with not a strike trying every lure in my box, including of course the same pink roster. Moved a few hundred feet away from the creek where we could see some fish braking the surface. This was a well shaded spot. We drifted with the flood tide and I put the pink roster back on after all new school right? Right, a great hook up in 5 mins a 12 lb hog. I let my cousin use the lure and he landed one on the next cast. He caught one more on a rainbow roster tail and the bite was over. But 3 nice Coho for our effort. I'll be back!
May all your lines be tight and the fish all hogs!
