Landed 2 blackmouth while fishing a favorite hole on, of all things, a small gold dick nite spoon. It was a strong flood and I was fishing on a shallow shoal area not more then 2 feet deep. I was drifting in my whitewater kayak casting up stream using a slow retrieve. They were both a bit small so I released both. To be honest I was targeting searun cutties. So I had my ultralight set up which made these under-size Chinook plenty fun. Advise please, I only just started to fish for these searun cutties recently and had been having great luck never been skunked in like 2.5 weeks (fishin daily). For the last week however I can't catch any of them even in known good spots (with some surfacing near by) using the same productive lures (pink on pink rooster tail & gold spoons mostly) with similar tides. What am I doing wrong can some one help?
