went out crabbing around meadow point and decided to fishing in between pulling the pots, i was using an ounce of weight on my main line with an 8 inch leader tied on about 6 inches above the weight, i didn't have any bait besides the chicken for the crab so i used a 2 inch scented powerbait grub and jigged it along under the boat. I ended up catching maybe 25 sand dab total on the day most were between 6 and 10 inches but i got three all over 14 and pretty fat too. Later i hooked up on what i thought might be the biggest fish of my life- i would just barely lift the monster off the bottom but then when i reeled down it would strip my line right back out, then my dad pointed out our crab buoy floating a couple feet away and i realized we had drifted and i had hooked up on my pot. I also hooked up on a 26 inch dog fish which put up a great fight so it was a good day, oh and we only got two crabs, plenty of females but not many males
