Went out to area7 south for the crab opener. spent two days out, and man, i could write a book about the whole trip, but I'll get to the goodies. 7/2...3 keeper dungies, 2 keeper red rock, 3 small C&R ling, 6 C&R rockfish. 7/3...1 dink dungie, 1 keeper red rock, 1 small C&R rockfish. all in all pretty good. i hit a new area for crab (actually two) because the spot i know best doesn't open for another couple weeks. so, I'm happy with the results. plus one nice 8" crab. Wednesday, everything was hitting great, then that storm...seemed to slow things down a bit. also tried salmon, but was limited by weather, but saw lots of activity about 50-60 ft. down over 90. i trolled standard gear (flasher/hoochie), and no action. i think everything should be pretty active for the next few days...
