took the bass boat up to neah bay for fourth of July weekend. mostly went targeting sea bass but also tried for salmon a little with no luck. Friday and Saturday afternoons we found a GIANT school of sea bass feeding on the surface in about 60 ft of water, for hours on both days we were throwing topwater bass plugs like a spitnimage and a zara spook, and sluggos on jigheads and catching fish almost every cast we figure we caught somewhere around 350 to 400 rockfish in the 2 and a half days that we fished, and about 250 of those were caught on Saturday alone. my thumbs are just totally shredded from lipping the fish. i brought my digital camera which actually takes pretty good video and we got some good footage of the rockfish hitting our lures and of us catching a couple, i would send them in to get posted but they have some bad language on them. the 1st pic is of one of the bigger size fish i caught in deeper water on a butterfly jig, the second is a flounder my buddy caught on a pt wilson dart.

I have had a day like this (with Easy Limits) years ago. What a blast it is to catch those rock bass one after another! I'll edit that video if you want to send it to me. Shoot me a PM... or e-mail mike@washingtonlakes.com.

we started both days fishing the kelp beds around wadah(mainly by the large rocks in front of it) and we were catching fish consistantly on grey baby sluggos on 1/4oz jig heads but then we noticed that there were fish jumping about 100 yards out from the rocks, we thought they were salmon at first but once we got out there we realized they were sea bass, from that point on we just used the trolling motor to follow the surfacing fish around. we threw sluggos on jigheads, weightless sluggos, weightless senkos, topwaters, jerkbaits, basically anything we could at them and they were hitting them. i even caught a couple on seven inch senkos.
