So before area 10 closed for the remainder of the winter I decided to hit up Jeff Head one last time. Launching out of Shilshole, we got out to the bar around 12:30pm and the weather was already getting a bit rough. We left around 3:00pm as the wind really picked up and was making fishing difficult. We brought 6 shakers to the boat some on a sonic edge spoon some on a green glow hoochie. All but one was caught near the bottom between 70 and 110 feet down. We were marking a few fish between 40 and 50 feet so I brought my gear up to 45 feet and picked a shaker up at that depth. Saw a couple of other boats that did a quick pass by our area but didn't see anyone bust out a net. Didn't see any bait on the finder, which is odd for Jeff Head, and there weren't any seals hanging around. Normally I would have run to some other areas but the weather really but a damper on that, from where did that nasty wind come?
