Phhhhhew, We (Tiny and I) just got the carburator put back on the 26 foot Beauty ("The Dirty Oar") of a boat in time to launch outta Dagmars about 630pm friday evening.. The sun already in our faces We headed out to hat island. Could not belive the weather it seemed warm and the water had a slight wind chop. We were going to to turn around and head back in but I could not for see heading back in without getting a line wet. Now heres the deal I cannot seem to find anywhere in marine area 8-2 to fish for lingcod. We are very new to fishing on the puget sound so we cannot seem to find rocky areas beside possession bar or way out north.. I welcome any insights or recommendations.. Anways We threw outta metal spinning jigs that looked like fish and only caught flounder (sandy bottom??) switched to giant plastic worms on huge led heads in chartrues and white and I think we jigged black ones also, all done on the cliff we found between hat island and camano, I belive it to be also known as the race track out there..
Yes we only gave it an hour but to those of who have been out there know its the expierance that matters....I welcome any suggestions of course.. Thank you,,,,Alphafish
