Bottom fishing continues to be good, especially when the weather and seas allow you to get to the ocean. On Saturday, May 9, we caught full limits of Rockfish and Ling Cod at Strawberry Rock, south of Tatoosh. Fishing inside is still good, especially for Rockfish. On Thursday, May 7, we caught limits of Rockfish but were a few Lings short of limiting. Stormy weather kept us off the ocean that day. Friday, May 8, we had limits of Rockfish and were 3 Lings short of a limit fishing off Green Bank in the ocean. All trips had 4 fishermen. We used lead jigs and lead heads with curly tails on all trips. Color of the tail didn't seem to matter to the Lings. Let's hope for some good weather this coming week. Halibut opens Thursday, May 14, and Saturday May 16.
