WOW, just got back to Neah Bay from Alaska and the Salmon fishing is hot. On Saturday the 25th we fished Silvers about 4 miles south west of Tatoosh. I could not fish all four of my downriggers, the fish were hitting too fast. Ended up fishing 2 or 3 lines and had 10 silvers and 4 pinks in the boat in less then two hours. The largest Silver was about 10 lbs., with an average size of 7 lbs. We released several unclipped fish and some smaller ones. We finished the day at Umatilla reef with limits of rockfish and one keeper ling cod.
On Sunday the 26th we targeted kings in the father and son area. We caught 3 keepers and released 5 others by 11am. The largest king was just over 30 lbs. We finished the day with the same great Silver action we enjoyed on Saturday.
