Started around 11:30am after getting off work. Fished the East side of Possession Bar with a half dozen other boats. Got a few flounder and one strike but after pulling up the gear the spoon was missing. Line looked like maybe a lingcod or dogfish bit off the line. Oh well. After spending 3 hours on the eastern side of the bar, I picked up and moved to the south end of the bar. There were about 50 birds milling around on the south east side. I started on the west side and trolled toward the east. Picked up a true cod within a few min. Then put back down and after 20 min. of trolling through all the birds that were spread out, I got a good hit. Picked up the pole and fish on. About 15 mins. later the fish came to the boat and saw it had the right amount of fins. Then did the solo netting and pulled the fish aboard. Headed for home after that. Saw the fish checker at Mukilteo. He said he had only seen 4 total including mine (2 chinook, 1 coho, 1 pink) so far. Ended up weighting just over 24 Lbs.
