Cliff and I hit the lake as soon as Erickson's opened up. We always rent a boat but bring our own motor and battery. Weather was partly cloudy when we hit the water. We headed north along the east shore from Ericksons and fished the pads and weeds for bass. We threw everything but the motor and battery at them with no luck. When we got to the "old resort" we crossed the lake and fished the other shore all the way to the end. Cliff managed to catch one 6" bass on a rapala almost as big as he was and I put a crappie jig on a managed one small crappie and one yellow perch. It was about 11 by now and had started to rain on and off so we headed back for the dock. We will be headed back next weekend (20th-21st) hopefully with better results.
