Needabiggerboat and I went back to Browns Point on Tuesday for round 2. I was the second person there at 5 am. Needabiggerboat arrived later after 5:30 am. The water was calm and the rain was wicked. I doubled up and had 2 jackets on. I observed some pinks jumping as soon as I got down to the shoreline.
I fished there all day long till around 2:30 pm. The first fish caught was with a pink jig made by Pline for humpies. The fish spit the hook within a few feet from me. It look long and silvery about 10-12 inches long. Didn't get a positive ID. The second fish I caught was brown with a white bottom. It was caught on a pink buzz bomb, I am assuming its some type of bottomfish. It also came off when I had it within a few feet from me. Still no pink salmon for me yet.
The pinks came close to shore and bite was on a couple of times. Each hot bite lasted for only around 5 minutes like the other report said. The most fish that someone left with that I observed was also 2.
