Went to Kayak point this time with my friend Michael, who had never caught salmon. Long line in launch area, got in water around 3PM. Started fishing south, soon hooked to a fish and so did Michael (about 10 minutes after mine). He was so happy. The bite slowed at that spot and we went searching for more fish, located a nice school not moving (several other boats fishing the same area give them away), where we caught 3 more fish. Then the Indians started netting, with no regards to the boats fishing the area. They would set the net just by the boat (and I would have to start the engine and move away to avoid drifting into the net), one time they even encircled my boat with a very narrow and shallow passage for me to go off. Every time, after setting the net they would hammer the water with big wood hammers to scare the fish into the net, collect the fish and set the net again. It pissed me off, so decided to go north. About a mile above the boat launch area found another school and caught the last 3 salmon, making a limit for both of us and call it a day. Michael was so happy, he was already dreaming on next salmon fishing while we were still driving home!

isnt that bull no respect for fellow fishermen i say screw them if your there first and they get their crap hooked on your boat they pay for damages lol


fish the real way or dont fish at all
