Hit the water with high expectations o-dark hundred at Shilshole. Before we get to the fishing - whatever happened to manners? 15 rigs lined up to enter the launch area from the south, and a couple guys coming from the north decided they were obviously more important than the rest of us and just drove right in to the ramp area. Shame on you...

Anyway, we did get launched and had lines out at 5:45am, with three rods, two on riggers and one on a diver. Myself, son James, his friend Max and his dad Dan in the boat. One rig set for pinks, two for coho. Immediately the coho rod had a nice hit at 35 ft but we missed it. Fish jumping everywhere - a nice sign. Come daybreak there were a fair number of boats out. We caught our first fish, a nice 5 lb pink buck at 45 ft on the rigger. Then nothing. Saw a few caught, and at 8:30 moved over to West Point, where it was more of the same. Moved over to the Duwamish waterway at 11am and scored a pink in 45 ft of water off a diver. And that was it for us. Ended the day letting the kids catch/release rock fish in 25 ft of water at the West Point kelp beds.

Nice day to be out a good times. Temps were 70s, sunny, light breezes and LT was at 6am. Just too bad there weren't more fish. I know they are out there!
