Location Fished: Launched near the Kingston Ferry, fished Jeff Head area. There’s an underwater hump just off Jeff Head that comes up to approx 75’ Saw a lot of bait balls and fish in this area…don’t know if they were silvers or not.
Lure Type: Green Spatter Back Hoochie, White w/ Flash Hoochie, Coho Killers (Green Spatter Back and a Pearl color) w/ a large Hot Spot Green and Prism Flasher
Method: Trolled 2-3.5 mph
Depth: 50’-70’
Catch Record: 3 Blackmouth avg.2-4#’s
Additional Notes:
First time I’ve been out in the Sound for Silvers. I don’t think they’re in very thick right now. From some of the reports, they may be a little behind schedule for a typical year. Probably should have fished over deeper water and down deeper as well.
